  1. So, I'll be starting the FNP program this fall.. I'm having to take out student loans.. Can someone tell me what's the process of ordering the required textbooks? Like can they be charged to your student account?
  2. I know I may be a little impatient, but I've been unofficially accepted into UA's FNP program for this fall. I've completed everything on my end as far as background checks, drug screen, immunizations, physical, etc.. The admissions office sent me an email congratulating me on choosing UA and that I should be receiving my official acceptance letter with more information about the fall semester "soon"... How soon is "soon"? I'm on the tail end of my BSN degree and am ready to get this monster FNP program rolling as soon as possible so I can stay on top of everything.
  3. That's exactly what happened to me. Well, I was denied at UNA and was accepted at USA. UA was my top choice, but I hadn't heard anything back so I went ahead and accepted my position at USA just in case. About a week and half later, I got the email from UA "unofficially" welcoming me into the Bama family. I completed everything that needs to be completed like background checks, drug screen, immunizations, physical, etc.. They said I should get my official letter in the next week or so!
  4. I can't remember exactly which questions were asked, but I definitely feel like I would've been more comfortable with an actual live interview. They asked five different questions. Four of those were a recorded response and the last one they wanted us to type out our answer in an essay type answer. They only give 30 seconds to get your thoughts together before the recording starts and then 2 minutes to answer. Once the 2 minutes is up or you click next, it went to the next question and you couldn't review the recording. I don't know if I'm just camera shy or what, but I was a nervous wreck LOL! Good luck to you though!
  5. No offense to anyone who has been to Walden, but I personally wouldn't go there. I've always been told when it comes to Walden University, it's easy to get in but hard to get out because many places won't accept to precept those at Walden because it's a for-profit school and not a brick and mortar school.
  6. I hope we all can end up in the same class together!??? We are gonna need all the support we can get from each other!
  7. I thought I would make a group on here to try and collect as many people that we could who have been formally accepted into the University of Alabama's FNP program for the Fall of 2025! State your name, what you do, and what brought you into nursing. I want to get to know all of you guys who will be in this program alongside each other!
  8. No.. My status is still the same "under departmental review" but I got the email yesterday saying I was recommended for admission pending background check and drug screen.
  9. Aw Ness, I love your attitude and faith—leaving it in God's hands is the best place to be. I know that waiting game all too well, and trust me, that peace you've found in the middle of the unknown? That's something special. I actually just found out I've been accepted into Alabama's FNP program for Fall 2025, and while I'm incredibly grateful, I'm also still praying that there's room made for you too. I would be so pumped if we ended up in the same cohort! I genuinely believe God's got something great in store for each of us, in His perfect timing. This whole process has reminded me that sometimes rejection is just redirection—and doors close only so the right one can open. Keep showing up, Ness. I'll be cheering you on until you walk through that door too. I honestly had zero faith in myself and was expecting the worst, but then God opened the door after many nights in prayer on my knees. I promise you God is going to bless you in your life! It might not be the right time to walk through this door, but then again God is God and a spot may come open for you! Keep the faith! You are on the right track! Just don't let any small set backs take your eyes off the end goal! PS: let me just add... LOL I typed all of this up after taking my night night meds? so take it as you will
  10. Just found out yesterday that I have been accepted pending my background check and drug test! So now I have got to decide between UA and South Alabama.. For those of you who are in the FNP program at UA, how has your experience been so far?
  11. I just got an email telling me I have been accepted pending drug screen and background check! Praise the lord!
  12. I wonder if they are going in alphabetical order with last names, because I still haven't received any emails or updates on my application.
  13. Hey I completely get where you're coming from though LOL I submitted my application for UA on 3/27 and have been checking my email non stop since!
