  1. I just got an email today that I got off the waitlist. Did you hear back/decide to go?
  2. Who here is going to the May 6/7 orientation? I am in the dual program. Does anyone know anyone who has been through the program and what they think?
  3. Hello! Are there any current or past Yale PMHNP students who can shed insight on the program? Did you feel like it was worth the high price tag? My BSN is from UPenn and I am looking closely at either Yale, Vanderbilt, or University of Alabama because of their cost and flexibility.
  4. I'm following this thread but I'm traditional entry - I already have a BSN. Applied for the PMHNP MSN and have been following to see when I can expect an email or status update. Impatiently waiting!
  5. That seems so tedious! I am on the background check/drug screen portion right now. I go for my drug screen on Tuesday. Are you nervous about finding clinicals? That is the only thing holding me back from wanting this program is the fear of having that on my shoulders.
  6. Hi everyone, I was accepted to University of Alabama's dual FNP/PMHNP program. I have a goal to own my own practice and specialize in functional and obesity medicine, and I just can't decide if I should go the FNP route or the PMHNP route for this, so I thought the dual would be the best option. My only issue - I am so nervous to find my own preceptors for clinicals. Has anyone been in a program where they needed to find their own? My undergrad is from Penn, and I can't imagine not being placed, but I also really love the dual degree aspect (especially for the cost) that Alabama offers. I did apply to some other schools that I won't hear back from for a bit, all of which place you for clinicals...but I just keep going back to the appeal of the dual degrees. Can anyone shed some light? I would love insight.
  7. That is so helpful, thank you so much for sharing your experience, and congrats on finishing!
  8. I applied by their 10/15 priority deadline - how soon after you the deadline do you hear back about an interview? Did you like the program? Would you recommend it? The one thing I'm nervous about is finding clinicals in my area.
  9. Anyone applying right now for fall entry? Any current students have any insight into the app process?
