It probably isn’t in most cases, but I agree that it is morally repugnant. I used to work with criminals in my previous career. Trying to keep the public safe and the people who hurt other people, off the streets.
Most of the murderers I’ve came in contact with, ”only” killed one victim. As detrimental to society as they are, on many levels I feel that people who lie about vaccines and scaremonger by spreading false information, are much more corrosive and damaging to society, than the killers and rapists that I have handcuffed through the years. And I don’t much care for them either.
I find the behavior of spreading disinformation about life-saving vaccines in the middle of the worst pandemic the world has seen in a century, sociopathic. A person or organization who successfully spreads lies about the vaccines, can easily kill thousands if their reach/clout is sufficient.
Thank you OP for posting this. It is vital that people are aware of the power of disinformation and that they always remember to be critical of their sources. We’ve seen evidence on this forum of disinformation activity and it should in my opinion always be called out and identified as such.
