Hello Everyone,
Im new to this website, and i so happy that i found it. ok, Im taking the Teas test in February, Ive been so busy that i didnt even order the study guide yet. Im also very nervous about taking this test. Can anyone give me any pointers of what to expect? Thanx
I think I did pretty well and I just used the same study guide I had for the HESI. My advice would be go through it and answer as many question as you can at first and skip any you get stuck on, because if you have time left over it will let you go back within the section. I reviewed my A&P and Chemistry notes but I agree, a lot of the science was stuff I vaguely remember studying in 7th grade bio and in high school physics
would you say that the science part is really hard and does the teas test have a lot of biology in it and what are some of the question they ask about biology and science
Science was fairly simplistic overall. A lot of scientific methods/procedures, only one or two anatomical/physiological questions that I remember. I have taken it twice and both were similar in structure. The science portion was I believe one of the shortest sections.
Hello, I took the TEAS twice and the hardest part was the Math section. Not because it was particularly advanced, but because of the limited time. You should know metric conversions, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios, and there was at least one question on cups, quarts, pints, gallons conversions. Most importantly: take at most 2-3 minutes per problem, if you can't solve it quickly move on, and at the end take an educated guess. You don't want to leave blanks, but you don't have time to solve, check and recheck your answers. Also if you can backsolve or if you can find the answer without completing the whole calculation, do it. For instance, you have four answers all ending with a different digit, and you can get the answer by multiplying two large numbers, but if you just do the multiplication to get the ending digit and it matches one of the answers, you don't need to go on and solve the whole thing. I hope that makes sense. Best of luck to you.
