The Talent Plus Interview for Nursing Supervisor Job

Published

I recently have applied to transfer to a supervisor position at the same hospital where I work. I passed a preliminary interview by a HR staff, and I passed a reference check, and then I had a telephone interview with a person who was from the Talent Plus company. She gave me a personality test!!!

These were some of the questions from the Talent Plus interview:

1. What do you think of neatness? Is it important to you and why?

2. What do you think of profit?

3. What do you think of authority

4. Have people said you walk extra miles? when was last time you have done that and what did you do?

5. What make a good leader?

6. Are you a good leader?

7. What do you think of having friendship with patients?

8. What do you think of flow?

9. Are you doing your job with enthusiasm? How so?

10. What have your manager said about you?

11. If you see a family's friend bringing food to the patient, will you go and tell him not to do that?

12. How do you deal with conflict? When was last time you have resolved a conflict and what did you do?

13. What make you happy?

14.What make you not happy?

15.Tell me about your job experience?

16. What do you like about your job?

17. If you see a boy hammered his finger, and he is crying, what would you do?

18. What do you think of aides?

19. What would you see yourself doing in 10 year?

20. Is being punctual important to you?

Is there a question in here for us? Or are we supposed to answer them too? Thank god I work for myself. :)

I answered all the questions but I don't know what were the good answers because I have not gotten the result back yet. It's been two weeks! When she asked me about the authority, I answered " if I have any disagreement, I will talk to them and that's it!" She might not like my answer!!!

Well, maybe she will like it. These kinds of things don't usually have right or wrong answers, anyway. You'll just have to see, I guess.

"If you see a boy hammered his finger, what would you do?" What kind of questions are these?

Years ago I went through a similar interview process, and one of the questions was "Is it ever appropriate to bend the truth?" I said "I guess it depends on how far you want to bend it." I didn't get that job.

oh, my, I could have fun with these.

"What do you think of flow?"

Seriously? I suppose I could answer "I prefer it go downhill, while I am uphill and on the opposite bank".

That sounds like a good answer for it! I don't remember what I said! I said something like- it's something organized and smooth, and go toward the same direction. Would that be good?

Oh, and the interviewer asked me " if your friend has something you like. Will you ask for it?"

I don't think of it at all since I had my hysterectomy.

Oh my. I wouldn't be able to get through that interview because I would wind up being totally inappropriate.
