Have any direct entry NP graduates run into problems with finding a job and The Nurse Practice Acts?

If I understand your question correctly, you are referring to problems that may be encountered when one attempts to get reciprocity in another state, right? There have been some threads about this on AN - not granting reciprocity because the pre-licensure education did not meet all state requirements.... but I couldn't find them. You should probably post your query on the NP forum.

"The Nurse Practice Acts in several states require that nurses hold an earned degree (AAS/BSN in nursing) or a diploma in nursing prior to successful completion of the NCLEX examination in order to obtain a registered nursing license in that state. Generic master's students who licensed via a certificate program and then continued on to obtain an MSN as the first nursing degree would not be able to be licensed in those states."

I was wondering if anyone had a list of these states, or if any Direct Entry graduates have run into any problems.

I'm in the alternate entry NP program at UT Austin, with 2 semesters left before I'm an NP. I have not heard of anyone having such an issue.
