The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

OK so last year I was in your boat . . and I'm so glad I wasn't reading a play by play on here -- or it would have driven me bonkers. -- to answer some of your questions -- last year -- they sent me an email saying that I was either a finalist or an alternate -- received my award letter by mail. Everything was late - I think they were two weeks after they said the awardies would know. My school net funds me. The tuition money comes in long after pell, and they have the option of either giving you the money, or giving it back to pell -- and they give it to me. I received a two year scholarship, I'm in my second year now. HRSA is late with everything, so try to be patient, it's worth the wait. I gave up on getting this grant after application, and after the email, after the done deal date . . . and then it showed up in the mail. Then waiting another month and a half for the money to start coming. No, it's not a guarentee if you got the email, you'll get the scholarship, but I think if I had the email, and school was starting I would start and cross my fingers.
Good luck guys - I hope they give them to everyone that applies this year.
To my knowledge from past years (and what the NSP info website still says), the link to modify our contact information will become unavailable once decisions have been made. It's still live, so I wouldn't start stalking your local friendly postal carrier quite yet. :)
Could you tell me the link to the log in page? I got a new computer for school and lost the link.

Yeah, I can still change mine. (And thank god, because I just realized when I updated my address after moving, I didn't update the state! *whew* Fixed!)
