The HRSA Nursing Scholarship

Updated:   Published

The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.

HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.

All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.

The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.

Scholarship requirements:

To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Nursing (including RN, ADN, BSN, and graduate-level nursing programs)
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Certified Nurse-Midwife

You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.

Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.

Scholarship award covers:

  • Tuition and Eligible Fees
  • A monthly stipend for living expenses
  • An annual other reasonable costs payment

If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

Did you ever recieve the 1st email???? I'm trying to see if anyone got the new email without ever recieving the initail email with all the paper work. I never got that email and wondering if I should have.....I was having email problems Monday morning so maybe they sent it but I never got it???? HELP

Mine got into the spam folder and I just called them and asked them to resend it. You very, very likely got the email. Despite this email, I would definitely give them a call, because that email contained very pertinent documents that must be completed within about a week, or you won't get in! If you'd like, you can email me at angieandbart on hotmail. :)

woot! woot! congrats!!!

YYYAYAAAAYYYYY does that mean that there are only 150 people notified so far????!??? That means we still have a chance of being chosen!!!!

My analyst is CL as well. I'm thinking that everyone got both emails. I received both and I haven't called or emailed the analyst.

Have any of the people on here that had an EFC that was not zero received emails?

No, it probably means that particular analyst was assigned to 150 people.

Maybe. We'll see :) I'm hoping that next Monday is round two! Reading back through last year's thread it looks like a few people were notified in October!!!

No, it probably means that particular analyst was assigned to 150 people.

My analyst's initials are KH, a female. I'm in TN. The analyst I got the second email (the one about not calling or emailing) was a male, initials AW.

It looks like the two of us are the only one's on this board that didn't get an email. Bummer. I really don't think there will be any more emails. We're getting too close to the deadline.

I hope I'm wrong...
