The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

Can anyone tell me what the email is asking for? Is it additional information or is it the same information that we already gave and needs verified? Just wondering because maybe those of us who did not recieve an email just do not need to provide any more information until the decision is made.
Hopeful thinking.
The email was addressed to reciepients/alternates. We had to give our banking info, sign the contract, and complete a W4. We were also assigned a specific analyst. When reading back to last year there were some people who got there emails a week or two later then everyone else.
Well, maybe there is still hope. The genius at the call center didn't answer my question. But, it just seems like they would get them out since the deadline is the 30th. I mean, I hope I do get one, but I'll not hold my breath or anything.
this is what my letter said: i omitted my anaylsts name & email...

I am really hoping that we can at LEAST get confirmation that our requested documents have been rec'd...I totally understand not confirming our application & supplemental materials, but if we were denied because of them NOT receiving our fax, I would be so upset.
My analyst said she would call me back and let me know but i am not holding my breath...i would be ****** if I didn't get it because they didn't receive a fax. And it is making me a little worried since so many people were having problems myself included faxing the information.
For those of us who have not gotten an email the HRSA call center said they were still going out. She said that they were still reviewing the applications and as they made the decision to send you to the next level the email went out. She said they were still reviewing applications. I know mine would have been one of the last ones received because I had finals the week before and literally got it in the mail at 4 pm the last day.

I also sent mine in at the last minute because I found out about the scholarship at the last minute!

I emailed the call center to see if they were still sending out emails or it that was it. Here is the response I got:
Thank you for your inquiry to the HRSA Call Center. Notifications for acceptance into the program will occur from July 31st to September 30th. That e-mail notification does not mean you have been accepted into the program. It means they need more information from you. Please be sure to check your e-mail often in the event they require anything from you in the future.
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us at the number below or to send in another e-mail.
Sooooo, that still doesn't really answer my question. At all.
