The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

I spoke to my analyst today who said they would be reviewing
things today and that she would call I something didn't make it. I seriously just want to fax it again, but I am worried that it would somehow cause everything to get messed up. Does anyone know if the final
decisions will b sent via email or snail mail?

Bobwolg, my analyst is also female....I know there are probably many women there but I was wondering if we shared the same one?? Want to email me her name or give me her intials??
for those of us who have not gotten an email the hrsa call center said they were still going out. she said that they were still reviewing the applications and as they made the decision to send you to the next level the email went out. she said they were still reviewing applications. i know mine would have been one of the last ones received because i had finals the week before and literally got it in the mail at 4 pm the last day.
i mailed mine the day before the deadline because i was swamped with exams and finals! i got my email monday morning, so i dont think the time you sent it in has anything to do with the selection.

i also postmarked my materials 5/5/10, got my email monday. there are a lot of applicants and i imagine there are many people who can't take advantage of this scholarship for whatever reason....so don't give up!!!
i don't think i got a email either. I live in PA and have a zero efc and single mom of one child. I deleted my emails on the 19th because i had over 1000 spam so i dont see any emails before the 19th at 8:07am. So im not sure if i got the email or not? Anyone in the same boat? I so need this....i will keep praying for me and everyone else :)
I just called HRSA and asked them if i got an email or not because i deleted all my emails that day because i had so much spam. They kept putting me on hold and asked my last 4 digits of my ssn and what state I am from. Then they told me they have to give the supervisor this information and i have to wait 72 hours to hear from a response. I dont get it.

Yeah, I hate that it was due in the middle of finals. I sent mine in the day of the deadline because trying to get letters of rec, etc at the end of the semester was just so inconvenient!
