The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

Hello all - i am thinking about going to a BSN program in a year or so - is this scholarship worthwhile? Can you give me a rundown of it? Can you would in a NICU as part of the "job comittment"?
hello! Personally, I believe that the scholarship is definitely worth it...after all, they are paying for your schooling and paying you over a thousand dollars (1289 to be exact) a month just because! Yes you can still fulfill the commitment in NICU. However, I would secure funds and not bank on receiving the scholarship because only about 7% of people received it this go around, and I'm sure even more people will apply next year (not to discourage you or anything, just saying...use some wisdom). I was one of the recipients so if you would like to know any more information feel free to reply back. Also, we have a page on facebook ("Obsessive Nursing Students" is the name of the page) that we all chat and talk on since hardly anyone is ever on here anymore...feel free to join!
Thanks for the update, MRevis. Still no money here. Sigh.Did they take out money for taxes?
Yeah they took out taxes. The deposit was $5844.86 after taxes. My analyst is KH and I use a private credit union-don't know if that makes a difference. Hopefully yours will deposit soon-like over night!!! Good luck! I know its been a struggle for us all. (PS I basically threatened KH Friday over my private info being sent to someone else and said that is illegal and a major privacy issue and like 2 hours later my deposit went through:uhoh3:)

How did your private info get sent out?
The money deposited in our bank account does it include ORC I only got $5,000, what happened to the ORC money, I can not wait for the lycem system to begin to work so I can check how much taxes was deducted and if the ORC money was included. When I hear some people getting $5,880 it makes me wonder if that includes the ORC money

Lyceum-the online payment system was all messed up. When you logged in, you could see another recipient's name, DOB, SS#, address, phone #, banking info, etc. So my info was just hanging out there under someone else's account just as I was able to see someone's. Major screw up!! Just hope everyone is super trust worthy and wouldn't take anyone's info.

My payment included the ORC + stipends for July-Oct. I claim zero on my W4 so they took the max amount of taxes out. They took a huge chunk of taxes out on you if that included the ORC-I'd b questioning someone.
