  1. I have read other nurses in this same boat...I would take the job offer that you have and if you get a HCA job then deal with that problem later. I am certain that I read a post from someone in this exact same position and their loan was forgiven and they had to start looking for a job. Who knows...that is what I would do in your shoes. best of luck
  2. have not taken it yet but read alot about it.....practice test seem to be your best friend....keep working at it
  3. Can you tell me more about finding a job? I am looking a starting a BSN program in a year or so...I never hear great things about the job market for new grads?
  4. Well....the dinner bell is ringing at my house...i will be back on tonight...I really hope that you get in....I think great things are in store for you....believe big and dream big..
  5. Not sure what to say...you should not be having trouble getting into any school...I know people that have gone to KU with lower GPAs....they volunteered alot...not sure if that makes a difference...
  6. Are you kidding me....3.52 is basically AWESOME.....did the schools give you any reason why? They should be FIGHTING over you..
  7. Did any school give you any idea why? Not trying to get to person but is your GPA good?
  8. You are clearly a smart girl...you have done some research. Did you look at KU.
  9. That is intersting......when i was looking at BC they were thinking that they would have that done at the end of the THIS school year.....hmmmm.....I personally dont' know if I would invest in a BSN...especally one that is 10,000 per year to if it is not accredited....bc you might want to go to grad school some day and they may not take your 1st year at BC's classes....hmmmm....
  10. Speak to the dean of the nursing program and the dean of the college. There are ways to get out of living on campus...TRUST ME....I assume you would stay with your grandma? BC is a great school....just an fyi....I have spoke to several hospital locally and in KC and they don;t see that there is a single thing wrong with going to a "new" nursing program like BC as long as it is accedited. BC would be great....great teachers...smaller classes.....all good!
  11. Pray about it and that is all you can do! I don;t think they will think you are being pushy...I have hired people in the past and I think it show that you WANT this...you will be fine.... What is your area of interest?
  12. Always this POSITIVE....I would GUESS that if you are in the top 5 you would get it. Will you go to BC if not? Just wondering how you decided to apply at BC and St. Mary? Are you from this area? I live in atchison just like the "feel" of St. mary better....just wondering your deciding factors? What area of nursing to you want to go into?
  13. I think that sound AWESOME....I am with you. I really believe a BSN is the way to go. Are there any other school that you applied to?
