I have to tell everyone--I have to thank the California Barod of Registered Nurses!! My late husband, Doug, only had his RN license for a short time before he died. But, last week, he got the paperwork to renew it. Even though I, too, am a RN,I didn't know what to do. I was afraid they would put on the web site, "cancelled" or "expired", so that viewers would think that he either didn't care enough about his license to maintain it, or that it was revoked for a criminal act. I also didn't want someone else to assume his identity and practice under his license. So, I called them and explained the situation to them. That Doug worked SO hard all of his life to keep his good name and his word, I didn't want to see it marred now. They said they would list him as 'deceased', so I could stop worrying. I am so grateful.

I'm glad they have improved their service and are using some sense.
I'm very sorry about your husband's passing on. Are you ok?
Thanks for your concern, it's harder than I ever thought it would be, 36 weeks today, @1244.
