i can't believe that at this time last week i was studying and restudying everything i know...or thought i knew! i couldn't sleep friday night and gave up at 3 saturday morning, having to be at the testing center at 7:30. i got there, went through all the security procedures, and there it was the point of no return. it felt like i didn't know anything, like i had forgotten everything i've learned...even the basics. but i kept remembering all of the words of wisdom that i've read over the past several months here.
remember your abcs, maslow's hierarchy of needs, take a few deep breaths, stop and think about what you're reading...you know this stuff now apply it, and don't over think the question...this is the nclex hospital, not the one(s) we've all been to or worked in.
i made it through the test...it cut off at 85 questions, and like many others before me, i left feeling worse than when i had arrived.
monday came around and i repeatedly checked the board of nursing and pearsonvue for my results...finally the results were in and i am officially an lpn.
the power of prayer works! thank you god!!
good luck to all of you preparing for your nclex, and those of you anxiously awaiting your results!
blessings,
