It's almost the end of the semester and my clinical group wants to thank the nurses and CNAs who have been so great to us. Our first thought was food but my nursing instructor forbade us from bringing anything with sugar and veggie trays always look so depressing after the first hour or so. I was thinking little gift baggies with a travel-size hand lotion, lip balm, and travel packets of Advil. Would that be sweet or are folks sick of little swag bags like that when it's not necessarily the brands they prefer?
When I was in nursing school we always brought Dunkin' Donuts - bagels, coffee, munchkins, etc and the staff was always very happy with that. One clinical we all put a bunch of stuff in a basket, a bunch of us baked stuff like brownies, cookies, etc. Honestly most of the food that isn't like that goes bad unless it's in the fridge. You can make those swag bags but try not to spend too much money. We always made baked goods because they were cheap and everyone loved them. Good luck!

Risk management has banned microwave popcorn from all of our facilities, due to risk of fires. Apparently people were not using the popcorn button and leaving the break rooms with enormous amounts of time on the microwave.
However if it is allowed, I think that it's a great gift idea.
