I would take a refresher course because it has been 5 years since you have been in...the test focus has changed since then.
Yes, you can do this, but at this point, you need help..and don't wait so long to take it..that is probably why you were unsuccessful. If you graduated in 2007 and have only taken the exam 5 times then that amounts to one time per year.
How long did you wait before you took it the first and second time?

^This, but I also want to add: what were your weaknesses in not passing? How did you prepare to study? Do you have test anxiety???
These factors will help determine what course to take studying in ADDITION to taking a refresher course.
I also will like to add: Once you have completed a refresher course, there are a wealth of sources to study from. My sources were book based, flash card based and app based: Saunders, LaCharity, PharmPhlash, Cram Exam, Kaplan, and NCSBN.

I learned after you take a refresher course take the nclex exam...The material only stays clear if you take your exam with in 2-4wks of taking a refresher course....You can do it...I had a hard time passing my LPN nclex took a refresher course and the instructor of the course called me at home and said take it within 2wks i waited 1 more wk took it and passed with flying colors...So take a refresher and then take nclex and you will do fine...Good Luck....
