Texas Wesleyan CRNA 2020

Published

Hello all,

I wanted to make a thread for nurse anesthesia students looking to apply to Texas Wesleyan specifically as the interviews will be coming up soon. ?

Anyone else interviewing Oct 28-30th?

Don’t forget to check your junk mail!

Congratulations to those who got accepted in Texas Wesleyan!

There’s a Facebook group that’s been created for the class, just search "Texas Wesleyan CRNA Class of 2023". We will use the group to communicate, share notes, etc!

I am feeling very anxious and nervous and all inside out because I haven't received any status change. Maybe more acceptance letters will go out tomorrow.

I haven’t received an official acceptance letter. It’s still really early. Take some deep breaths. Maybe try an activity like going for a walk or exercising to get your mind off of it? Here if you need someone! ♥️

I also have not received a status change. Did people actually get acceptance emails or just status changes?

Well, those that received a status change most likely will be followed by an acceptance letter. I am somewhat discouraged because this is the 3rd school I have applied to and no acceptance in any of them. I am beginning to feel like this is not the right path for me because some of these schools is based on whether they like you or not. I know of at least 3 people who had a 290 on GRE, 6 months of experience, 2.94 on sciences and got into CRNA school. It was unbelievable.

I’ve heard from so many people that they didn’t get in on their first try. I applied to 5 schools and got interviews at 2. Some schools weigh academics heavily, others really look at the applicant as a whole and like more experience in a high acuity ICU. Maybe they killed their interview? Not sure where they applied, but most schools require at least a year experience prior to applying. If this is really what you want to do, do not give up!

Congrats everyone. What clinical site did y’all rank?
