Hi everyone! I am new to allnurses.com, so my apologies in advance if I've posted this topic elsewhere on the website. I submitted my application and all supporting documents at the beginning of the month to Texas Wesleyan's CRNA program for the entering class of 2017. Has anyone applied this cycle received an interview date or any feedback from the school? Thanks in advance!

mrdearmas... congratulations that is so exciting!!! I actually had received an email last week saying the same thing about a phone interview and chose my date for tomorrow. I have been so nervous, but to hear you say they didn't ask any clinical questions has made me feel a lot better! Was it Dr. K that you interviewed with?
Easton5: I completely think it was a good idea! I have the same thing happening with USC, and I have been talking to Dr. Gold since I started my ADN. Call!
Anmarshall23: that's awesome! Just relax. If they do be ready for them, but there is a reason you were pulled out a month ahead. Is it for the Colton site? It was Dr. G (I guess I can't put his whole name) that called me.
I got a surprise face time call though so be dressed! I did not get any clinical questions except for what type of patients I see. That being said, I noticed my interviewer was prior military, so most of my interview was about my military service and how it has prepared me for CRNA school....
I saw your interview was for tomorrow, yesterday? How did it go?
I also got a surprise FaceTime! I wasn't dressed but luckily someone from the office called 10 minutes before to give me the warning and I quickly got ready! I think we had the same person interview us. Mine was pretty laid back too. Have you decided if you're going to accept TWU? I got in at the VA too, so looks like we will be the 2 there together if you do!
Hi! Has anyone gotten a phone call for interviews for the Texas sites? I called this afternoon and the office was out on a retreat. I heard Texas sites are done last but I am anxiously awaiting.
i called last week and the lady took my name and said to be expecting an e mail for an interview at the end of this week and still nothing.
it would calm my nerves to know if anyone else who applied to Texas sites is also still waiting. Thanks a bunch and good luck to everyone!

i've read a lot of articles concerning contacting graduate programs. Do you feel like that helped a lot? some of the article said they felt it was a good idea, and others said that it can get annoying for the admissions officers. Do you feel like it was a good experience calling? if so, I'm calling tomorrow!
