Texas Wesleyan CRNA 2019 Applicants??

Published

Hey there!

I just finished my application into the Texas Wesleyan CRNA program. I chose the Denver sites as my top two.

Anybody else applying to the Denver site?

Anybody else applying to any other site?

I am hoping we can keep in touch on here, see how everybody is doing, and offer encouragement to each other.

Good luck everybody!!

TexasKing2011: You can look at your clinical site choices if you print your application. FYI.

Yeah I applied for Louisiana as #1 and 2 Texas sites, I wish they'd announce dates already

I called earlier in regards to the interview email and was told they are still looking over applications. Also, she mentioned they were probably looking at a January timeframe for actual interviews for Texas sites.

I just want to share my recent interview at TWES. Colton is also my 1st choice and had interview yesterday. I had 5 interviewers in total. One is the director of the program, the associate director, the clinical program head in Colton and the rest were graduating students. It was a pretty laid off type of interview. At the beginning, I was already told not to be nervous and to not worry about the questions because they are not expecting us to answer all of them correctly since they are all tough. I guess they just want to see how we are going to act when we are pressured. I had mixed CCRN type of questions and Behavioral questions like:

- Why do you want to be CRNA?

- Explain your recent patient? Disease process and treatment? Tell me more about levophed? DKA?

- Did you encounter a situation where you felt you're being disrespected? How did you overcome it??

- Can you explain the diagram?? - So they show me a diagram about Ejection fraction and I actually felt pretty dumb about it, haha.

But the good thing about the interview is how the current students have been supportive. It felt really good no matter what the outcome will be. I didn't get any offer on the spot though. I heard that if you have a high GPA plus a good interview, you'll usually get a higher chance of getting an offer on the spot but some also got in without getting an offer on the spot.

Anyways. This is my first school application and it's been a really good experience. Hope this help!

Thank you for sharing! Good luck with the process!

Has anyone else got their interview date in their email yet? I know they said previously they'd let us know by November 15 but I'm so anxious.. I keep checking my email for it and I'm almost paranoid I've missed it or it got deleted somehow. lol

Nothing here and I have Texas and Denver clinical options. Patiently waiting :)

You know, I literally wrote on my to do list this morning to inquire about the same thing. I was going okay it's already November, soon approaching the 15th... I haven't heard anything either.

Same sites for me

Hey guys, if you got an email saying you're getting an interview don't fret, you'll get a notification! I'd say if you don't hear anything on the 15th then call on the 16th. They've been sending emails at like 1800 CST.

Hi! Congrats!! May I ask how it went?

@DiiiceICU , sure! Miraculously, I got my " You're in" email 4 days after my interview.
