Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone has received the email yet? Today is 5 business days and the anticipation is crazy!

No, but I assume they might send it around the same time (3-4) again to avoid a flood of people maybe calling or emailing them since it's near the end of day for them?, but I also think maybe tomorrow morning and they didn't consider Friday as a day ??‍♀️

??? that is an excellent point. And yeah, I wasn't sure if they counted the day they sent it out as an actual day sooo possibly tomorrow. AH! I just want to get this over with already

LOL I mean I would do the same if I wore them LOL.
Same! I'm more worried about essay than the damn video ?.

The video is keeping me up at night ???..are we supposed to pull an Elle Woods law school video or keep it casual ?

It make me nervous because now they're solely going off of the essay and video to make a selection ☠️, I honestly hope we hear back before the second week of September ?

Well, wouldnt they have only gone off of the interview anyway? I think they also have a point system, which also may help them narrow it down!

I don't know about the point system, but I do remember the advisor I talked to told me they compare our applications with someone who has the exact same or similar to ours and then the interview will also tie into that. LOL I wish we knew someone who was in the program ? to give all the details especially about how the classes are or laid out

What!? ??? I doubt each candidate has a similar background (minus grades perhaps)! I feel like I've gotten a ton of good info from prior forums and how basically you teach yourself 100% of the information. Definitely stressful, but I need something where I can just work at my own pace.

LOL maybe she was new ? will go with that. 
So the clinical did you see anything about? That's the one I'm worried about I actually work a full time taller job that is so slow I have all the time in the world to study 9-6 ?, but I'm like if we don't get to choose our clinical days I'm like what am I really going to do ??‍♀️.

So I know we would have to pick 2 clinical days based off what our preceptor actually works. So essentially following their schedule so we can only pick 2/3 of their shifts. So they really have no control over when they do clinicals I don't think! I work PRN and it is really only 1 day/week so if I get in I will try and keep it if I can!
