Texas Tech Traditional BSN 2013

Hello Guys!!I just wanted to create a new thread for the 2013 Texas tech BSN program! I will be applying this December (El Paso) campus. Is anyone else?

I am so excited and hopefully in the near future I can meet you all!

I am so nervous....but I am sure most of you all are feeling the same.

Where are you finding the orientation dates at??

If you go to the nursing website and administration I think there is a link that says new student orientation.... it will be a long list of stuff to do and tell you the dates of all orientations

Yes I plan on having high TEAS scores as well. I'll have references from 2 nurses that I shadow with and my personal statement & essay will be strong based on my story about how I came to my decision when I was 15 to be a nurse. It's too long to tell on here but it's a good one :).

I think you will do great! I know the coordinator told me that shadowing and hospital volunteer is great! I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to get any, but I had a lot of community service type things, like putting on blood drives, raising money for local cancer patients, coaching a little league cheerleading team, etc. and she said that helped me. Definitely buy the TEAS study book! I did awesome on the TEAS and I owe it all to that book. There was so much information that I hadn't seen since middle school or high school! Good luck!!!!

I'm still waiting to hear back from Odessa College dorms; if that doesn't work out, i'll have to find an apartment when Orientation comes around :/
