Texas Tech 2nd degree accelerated BSN 2018

Is it too early to start this thread? I couldn't find another one.

I am planning on applying to the TT 2nd degree BSN program in May in hopes to begin in January 2018.

Anyone else?? Anyone in the program currently or recently have any info to share?? Which location is everyone applying?

For the VBSN applicants who are wondering if we are in the same pool as the second degree applicants. Kyle responded to the question...

Yes and no, it will always depend on how many openings are available at each site as that is why you are asked to pick a second location in your application process as some sites fill up before others, so in this since yes, know we do a lot so many for each site for VBSN and if that number is not met then we will likely open up to a 2nd degree student that that location was there first option. I hope this makes since but honestly it really is a non-issue as both programs fall under the Accelerated Programs. You should know very soon if you are receiving an acceptance letter. Hope all is well. If you need anything else please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

So second degree applicants this is also relevant to you because if a VBSN slot is not filled, you will be able to take the slot.

I called and the lady said it's because applicant information has been loaded in and emails are just now being sent out which isn't making sense to me...

So if they are delaying everyone's decisions, why do only some of us have an email? It just seems strange. Maybe it's an automated email that gets sent out as Elizabeth, or whoever else on the TTUHSC end, finishes up our application?

Yep, I just got the same email from Mrs. Martinez saying my application is complete and they ancipate admissions decisions being sent out at the end of September...

Hey guys, I also received the email, but keep in mind I was also someone who got called on Tuesday with an offer. The email is most like an automated one, because it would be weird for her to call and offer me a spot and then send a soft rejection. Keep your hopes up guys!
