Texas Tech BSN Spring 2019

Published

Hi!

I am applying for the Texas Tech HSC Traditional BSN program, Spring 2019. Is anyone else also? What are your stats (GPA, TEAS, supplemental items, etc). Just wanted to get a page started so anyone/everyone can answer and ask any potential questions they have!

Here are my stats (they're not the best but I'm doing my best!)

GPA: 3.672

TEAS: 79.3 (Going to retake it for a better score!)

Reading 83

Math 93.8

Science 68.1

English 75

I also have a resume and 3 letters of recommendation sent in.

What about everyone else?

Hi Irw2,

No, I haven't heard anything yet. I will definitely let everyone know whenever I do! Does anyone know how much time it takes for people to hear back AFTER the interviews have been conducted?

I haven't heard anything yet either. Looking back on other threads for Techs nursing program, it look like a week or so after the interview they find out if they got in or not. Could be longer, you never know.

I don't think we'll hear back until next week sometime but after that I've heard anything from a couple days after to two weeks later.

i have a question, where did you guys take the communications in nursing and intro to nursing courses?

I have already taken the intro to nursing class and I'm taking the communications in nursing class right now.

I took the intro to nursing online TTU over the summer and I'm in communications in nursing now at TTU!!!

would you say the class is difficult online?

I have already taken the intro to nursing class and I'm taking the communications in nursing class right now.

where did you take those courses? ttu?

The classes weren't/aren't that bad. I took the into to nursing online through Tech and I'm taking the communication class through Cisco.

No not at all!! The intro to nursing is ALL based on the book!!

I took both classes at Texas Tech, Lubbock. The communication in Nursing class was in person, and the Intro to nursing class was online! I didn't think either one was hard as long as you don't slack off just because it's considered an easier class! I know some people thought that the communications in nursing class was a grade booster and didn't study any material for the first test, and ended up doing not so great. You actually have to pay attention to the theories and understand what they are! The Intro to nursing class is really focused on APA citations for some reason. I have no idea why they decided to make that the focus, but they barely grade on your actual nursing work, just citation mistakes you put like an extra space after a comma, or you wrongly capitalized a word, or something like that.

Has anyone heard anything yet?
