Hey, all

Wanted to start a thread for those applying to the Spring 2019 program.

What location will you be applying to? Anyone else in Austin?

Any information/advice from current students is appreciated!

Side note: I totally dig the red scrubs. :inlove: Haha

I just got an email from Elizabeth last night & a second this morning with information for the online interview. Definitely keep an eye out and if you don't have something by tomorrow I would call again!

So glad you called & got that straightened out!

Hi everyone! I applied to TTUHSC for the spring semester with Austin as my cohort. I have an interview August 23rd in Dallas but there is no address listed on the interview website. Anyone else have a Dallas interview and know the location?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a CNA program in or around Austin? Austin Community College has a program but it is filling fast and I'm still working on completing all of my forms and sending in my immunizations. I am curious if there are any other options I can look into.

Good luck to everyone that has an upcoming interview!

I saw this address for August 22nd interviews at Dallas location. I think for 23rd also it should be the same.

Address:

Southwest Professional Building

5920 Forest Park Rd,

Dallas, TX 75235

Dallas Southwest Professional Building - Parking Instructions:

For the Dallas "Host" site - you will be interviewing at the Southwest Professional Building; you will ONLY be allowed to park on the 3rd Floor of the Parking Garage - as this is strictly designated for all School of Nursing Visitors, Students and Staff.

You will then take the Parking Garage Elevators to the 7th Floor, upon getting to the 7th Floor you will be greeted by SAO Faculty at our Sign-in table.

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking on this page for a while and figured it was time to join the conversation. The information provided by everyone so far has been very helpful. I signed up for an interview in Dallas and got the address but somehow missed the parking instructions so I very much appreciate that information. I submitted my essay question but have not received any feedback, did anyone get a confirmation email that their essay had been received?

Good luck to everyone in their interviews!

How has everyone's interviews been going so far?

Just wondering how the interviews went for those who have already gone.

Good luck to everyone who have interviews tomorrow and on Thursday!

If you guys don't mind, can any of you who already had their interviews tell us what type of questions we can expect?

I'm so behind on this, but I'm applying for the Austin program! I haven't read through all the comments yet, but I'm excited to meet some of yall!

I am happy to hear that you got an interview. Hope that your interview went or will go well. Best of luck to you!! :)

Hello everyone! So I had my interview today in Dallas and I think it went well. I was nervous of course but I just tried to answer as genuinely as I could without overdoing it. I'm not sure if I want to write out their exact questions but I will say that they want to know if you are prepared to go full bore if selected. Do you or will you have everything in place to begin in January? Support system, finances, etc... Because you're going to start off sprinting. The rest of the questions are simply to find out about your character and experience. Also, think about some questions that you might have about the program and ask them.

There were two students there who are currently in the program that volunteered their time to answer questions about the program in a separate conference room. Several other interviewees were also there and we all asked the students about time commitment, scheduling, intensity of the program, etc. I asked about what we should be studying leading up to January. They both said that it would be beneficial for us to re-study our patho and pharm (if you have taken it previously) for the rest of the year so it is fresh on our minds. Other than that it was a great experience. The ladies are very warm and welcoming and it is clear that they genuinely want the best for us and want us all to succeed no matter what happens. Good luck to you all. Hopefully I will be meeting some of you in January!

PTAtoBSN,

Thanks for all the information about the interview! I have an interview in Dallas tomorrow and I'm trying to make sure what the location is...did you go to the 5920 Forest Park Road building? SignUp Genius will not allow me to access the detailed location information. I did email TT (Elizabeth) but was hoping you might be able to confirm if that is where you were today.

Thank you for your time and best of luck to you!

msmaggie08,

That is the correct address. Right around the corner from UT Southwestern. Park on the 3rd floor parking garage and then take the elevator to the 7th floor. TTUHSC owns the entire floor so you can't miss it. Good luck tomorrow!
