I lived in Texas did not take my NCLEX in five years. The board said in Texas I need to do the whole nursing program again. Is there a state I can become a resident and take my NCLEX with out doing it again. Please help I have a family to support!!

If you have a family to support why did you wait 5 years to take NCLEX? I'm not sure what states if any will allow you to take your boards at this point. I would start cold calling boards of nursing/emailing them to ask. I wouldn't trust something so important to people online.

I wish you luck. The NCLEX is no joke fresh out of school, let alone 5+ years later. I would suggest using multiple forms of studying if you find a state that will allow you to take the NCLEX. I am sure there is at least one in the 50 that will allow you to.
