Versant Programs 2014

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey!

Everyone who has applied to any Texas Versant Programs for 2014. Let's all chat here. I am going to be a Graduate Nurse in May. I have applied to various Texas Versant programs including: Texas Health Resources, Children's Medical, Parkland. If you've reached this post, you're searching the internet looking for more information too. It really helps when we can chat back and forth. Who knows maybe we'll be coworkers one day! Hopefully we can all keep each other informed during the process. Fingers and toes crossed! Good Luck everyone!!

I heard from a lady at Parkland that its best to apply to thier GN positions once you have passed boards. she basically made it seem like they don't even look at apps for those who havent passed yet!!

Specializes in ER / Critical Care.

Anymeans- that doesn't make sense because once you pass boards, you are an RN and no longer a GN. If soon to be (grads of spring '14) GNs waited, they would miss the open application period.

I see what you mean RED. maybe for others like Baylor and THR, I know their GN positions are only open for s short window. I dont know if Parkland closes there GN nurse applications at a certain time. Who knows maybe she just didnt like me???

Has anyone heard from Methodist Dallas?

Besides calling and them saying that all you have to do is submit your online application, do y'all have any other ideas of what to do to get your app noticed? I've read that faxing the unit your resume is a good idea as well but not sure. Any suggestions? Not hearing back from a lot of places. :(

I had an interview but didn't get pocked

@Mari O I feel the same. Applied to so many RN positions in the DFW area and no luck.

Does Children Medical hire New ADN grads or just BSN ?

Specializes in Oncology nursing and patient navigation.

on their residency application it says they are only looking for BSN applicants

Have they put up their residency application at childrens medical? I have been searching!
