I assume that you are referring to the Texas Jurisprudence exam.

I'm currently in the process of endorsing my RN license into Texas and I do not recall having to pay any money to subscribe to anything. I simply took the exam while using the Texas BON website as a reference, and I passed it without any studying or review course. It was a very easy test that a person could pass if common sense is utilized.

I looked again. The $25 fee is for a prep course that prepares you to take the Texas Jurisprudence exam. You can take the exam without any prepping. You do not have to pay this money if you do not wish to, because this prep course is voluntary.

thaanks for all ur replies......................

I would skip the review course (IMO); it's pretty easy.

The review course was a total waste of time and money. They did not cover any information that is on the test, only information on how to navigate the BON website. When you're taking the test, just open a 2nd browser window and search the BON website for keywords related to the question. Its a very easy test.

One thing that took me by surprise though, is that I thought it would shut off after a minimum amount of questions for passing (like the NCLEX), but it does not, you take all 50 questions.

thanku so much!!!! i failed my nclex a week ago, can i this test?
