Invitation letter from UT Houston???

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everybody,

I'm new in this forum, and I already love it. :)

I hope somebody can help me with this question regarding UT. I received an invitation letter, where I'm applying for the BSN program in the Fall 2005.

Has anybody else here on this board already underwent the questionnaire? What can I expect? It's really freaking me out, because they are also mentioning a writing sample at the time of the interview

How can I prepare myself?

Thank you

Ginger

Congratulations! Like I mentioned in an earlier post, many spots will begin to open from now until about mid-August. For all the rest of you, don't give up hope.

Thanks Vianey!

Hello everyone! Congrats on getting accepted. I haven't posted in a long time but wanted to tell 'yall that I got accepted to UTHSC- Houston back in April. Good luck to everyone! :balloons:

Hey Vainey and Starie!

I'll be one of your UT classmates starting in the Fall!!! I've been looking on the site trying to find some future classmates! Congrats on getting accepted! Is anyone going to the FOCUS program in July? I can't wait to meet ya'll!

TexasTac, could you please share your expertise with me? I've started reading my Patho book, but any advice on what to do before school starts would be great!

Congrats to everyone! My good friend was turned down at UT after being accepted to TWU, but got a call due to an opening and was offered acceptance to UT. She was so excited! Good luck everyone!

Blessings,

ENP,

I don't want to bud in on your conversation but I noticed that you said you are reading your patho book. The professor who teaches patho tests DIRECTLY from his notes. If you feel that reading is helping you get a jump start on things, press on!! I just don't want you to spend what little summer you have left on reading, and realize none of the information you read is used for test material. I did very well both semesters of patho and I never read for tests (most classes, however, the books are very helpful). You will find that the patho book is good for referencing for in-class things and creating good careplans.

Aslo, in my opinion, I think you should go to Focus if at all possible. When I went it really helped me to have a clearer picture of what was going on before school actually started.

I am getting really excited about starting at UTHSC...

I'm not going to be able to attend FOCUS so I hope that it's not a big deal that I can't make it. Let me know how it goes. :)

I'm taking currently Patho @ TWU with the same prof. Well, on Thursday he told us that he was called in to a meeting with the faculty of TWU and was told that rumors were going around that he just tests from his notes.

This will change from now on, he will ask specific question from each chapter that he assigns.

Additionally, the final will be compehensive, starting in the Fall.

I don't know if this will account for UTHSC as well, but I know the good days @ TWU are over :crying2:

Hello Guys,

I am also exicted about starting school in the fall, but a little scared at the same time. Its been a while since I posted here because I have been a little busy with school and work this summer. I wasn't able to attend Focus, but how is that going? Also, have any of you guys already registered for the fall? I was accepted provisionally since all my pre-reqs were not completed, so I have to wait until August, when my last class is over with to register.

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I successfully registered. It was pretty easy as how they tell us exactly what classes to register for.

I didn't go to Focus either.

Have you gotten any of your books/supplies for school yet?

Good luck with your summer school :)

No, I have yet to purchase my books, but I will begin to do that very shortly. As far as registering is concerned, what does the schedule look like and is almost everyone's the same?
