Yes, now comes the most agonizing part. I am enjoying my summer off right now between level 1 and level 2 but honestly I'm ready to get back. I just wanna get this going to get done! lol!

I'm not even in the program and I feel like it's taking forever. I too want this (ADN program) to be done and over with. I heard that back in the day ACC offered an accelerated ADN program....not sure if that's true or not....but if the ADN program decided to have a full summer session, I'd be up for that. I would rather push through and continue studying throughout the summer to graduate earlier....I just want to be a nurse already!

For those of you who have applied, have you received an email yet about nursing skills?? I know we are supposed to get an email sometime in July, but it's almost half way through and no word yet.

I sent an email six days ago asking how many students are selected for the first eight weeks and I was told by Tammy that the petitions would be sent out at the earliest this week and it will be only for the first eight weeks.

ACC seems to always leave you hanging so discouraging there communications are last in line wanting to apply to texas state or A&M for the BSN so tired of prerequisites. allmost there anyone got current experience on the TEAS ver 5 test?

Just received the petition for nursing skills on this past Monday, but i am hoping we will be able to sign up for the later sessions cause one of those works out better for me for my schedule! I signed up for a class anyways just in case!

Sorry penryn, I dont have any experience with the TEAS but I would search it here on allnurses and I am sure they have info!

Has anyone taken the HESI at ACC? I have it in a few days and am just curious what kind of questions are on it. Primarily, the A&P sections. Any input would be great.

The math is STRAIGHT from the book. I reviewed it literally the day before and I got a 98% on the math. You can use a calculator and they have them there for you to borrow.

I read through the reading comprehension practice tests and those gave you an idea of the type of questions that would be on the reading part. Nothing really to study for that, just be familiar with the types of questions.

And the A&P was BASIC! I read through the practice book and another small A&P review book and It wasn't bad. There were 25 A&P questions, and seriously, i did them all in 13 min (it tells you how long you spent on each section), and you can even save a section and come back to it later. You just cannot back track questions. Once you pick an answer and submit it, it's done!

    Hope this helps!

    Hey, guys!
Just checked the Bb and saw the RSNG 1105 instructor already posted the notes and everything. she also said that we should come for our lab in scrubs. Does anyone know a good place to purchase scrubs? I know teal scrubs is what ACC wants. But where to buy? I don't mind the used ones.
Also, another question about the textbook... I haven't bought one yet, trying to find a good deal. I noticed on ebay they sell international editions of Fundamentals of Nursing. It's almost twice as cheap as the regular edition. I used inter'l editions for my other classes at ACC and I was fine. Do you think it would be ok if I get an int'd edition for Fundamentals ?

I just found out about and joined.

sigh.... I am still waiting for the petition for Spring 2012.
I applied June 1, and it feels like forever waiting.
All I am doing is checking email every single day.

As I reviewed previous writings, I might have to wait another 6 months in order to get accepted.......
