Anyone else waiting on Spring Letters from TCC?

I am sure there are at least a few of us. I know our potential stalking of the mail man has just begun. I feel pretty good, but am still terrified.

Are you starting your second year at TCC?

That is sooo super exciting!!! You'll be through before you know it. It really has gone by in a flash. OB/Pedi has been more of a challenge than I think I was prepared for. They are two really short semesters packed full of information. I am passing and for that I am truly grateful. We lost 18 of our classmates the first half of the semester. I'll be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief when Pedi is over. If I'm not mistaken, I think there are HESI study guides out there. I'm sure you are going to do just great!! Congratulations!!!:balloons:

Hey Katy -

I have another friend waiting on a TCC letter. Any chance you might be able to "work your magic" and find out when they are being sent out??? :)

Out of curiosity, how many out of the original 100 in your class are still in the program?

I believe I heard a rumor that they weren't going to go out until after Thanksgiving but that can always change. I won't be on campus until Friday but I'll be sure to ask.

As far as how many of our original class are left, geez, I'm not really sure...we've lost a couple here and there for different reasons and then we lost 15 first half of the semester. I would say there's still at least 80 of us but don't quote me. LOL!!

Have you heard anything about the new fast track program that is suppose to start next semester. I am trying to find out more info other than the website. The lady in the office always seems like she is allergic to talking about anything. Although I understand she must answer the same questions all day everyday...any info is appreciated....

I don't know much about it other than I think you have to take three tests to test out of foundations and I know that they only take Fast Trackers in the spring. I'm sorry I know that's not very helpful. What else would you like to know and I can see if I can get some answers for you.

I ended calling up there again yesterday afternoon and speaking to someone. She kinda acted clueless having to get the information from someone else.. I realize that they will take students for the most part on how many people have dropped from the generic program.I'm just trying to get an Idea of how many students are being considered for this. I have every class done and my GPA is about a 3.3 or 3.4 for this with a science GPA of 3.0. I did graduate from TCC with a AA in liberal arts in 2005. Also I need to know if they allow you to sign a Hep b waiver. I had the immunizations about 9-10 years ago and recently went to take an titer and I was not immune.A little after that I got pregnant and could not take the injections. I will deliver in March and that will not give me the time to get the series complete. Oh I lost the shot record that had the immunizations recorded and the place were I got them done is no longer in buisness (kaiser). I tried to get the MR and was told these records have been destroyed... Other than that Im good except for that damn TEAS test ....Thank you ......

For anyone who has applied and been accepted into TCC's program...Did you have reference letters? Is it a good idea to have one or two? and What paperwork did you send in with your application? Thank you.

Well, I just got mine about 10 minutes ago. I'm on the alternate list though :(

I guess I should be happy that I still have a chance for next semester but I hate that I have to keep waiting. I have to find daycare so I need as much notice as possible!

How about everyone else?

Nope, I'm still waiting.

Do you mind sharing your stats? Are you done with all pre req's, gpa, teas, etc?

Congrats on the alternate list though, that's still a good shot!:)
