Anyone else waiting on Spring Letters from TCC?

I am sure there are at least a few of us. I know our potential stalking of the mail man has just begun. I feel pretty good, but am still terrified.

For those who got in...when is the cutoff date for you to accept or decline? Just wondering so I have a timeframe of when they might be calling on some alternates. Also, for anyone who has been on the alternate list and gotten in...how do they contact you? Is it by letter again or do they call you? I've already checked the mail 3 times today and I don't know how much longer I can take this!!!

I believe the deadline is December 4th, so I would assume that they would start calling alternates sometime next week. However, they might have already started as decline letters have come in. I would think that they would call you rather than sending a letter so that you have as much time as possible to get ready.

Did you meet with anyone there to see where you might be on the list?

Ugh! The suspense is killing me! I really hope that the deadline is next week.

I have been meaning to call them to make an appt but we have been having some issues with our heater and have had repair men in and out of our house in a daily basis. They're here replacing it now so I'll try to call the school on Monday.

Well, I just called the nursing dept. and asked about my placement on the alternate list. She stated that I was "near the bottom." I am just devastated. I know that it's still a (slight) possibility, but I feel as though it's a no.

I guess I'll just keep praying!!

That's a bummer. I know how it feels because I was told I didn't make it, too. Have you applied to any other programs?

Not yet. I missed the cutoff date for UTA this summer. I'll apply everywhere in the Spring though!

I made it off the wait list into El Centro, so keep your hopes up :) Are you looking just in the FTW area, or at other schools too?

Well good for you...that's awesome!

I'm trying to stick as close to home as possible and I live in South Arlington. I might try El Centro, but I've heard that it's really competitive G.P.A.-wise.
