Happy I found this thread! I applied to ER for Feb 2021 last week and got an email for next step (I think ?).... it asked to write an essay anyone else had this? Is this a good sign?

When I applied to the OR residency positions I got an email that said to write an additional essay about why I wanted to be an OR nurse. Not sure if it is an automatic message or not. Did you write an initial essay when you applied to THR? I think the one you write for your initial application is supposed to be about a memorable time in clinical, or something like that.

When I applied last week it didn't ask for an essay but the email they sent today had the screen preference form and asking for an exemplar/essay.

They still had applications open? For which location if you don't mind me asking?

An ER position opened last Thursday in Dallas, but the application closed a few days later.
