Congrats on completing nc1. I am thinking of starting both the nc1 and micro too. Are you interested in selling your study material and books?

According to the EC website job postings, one must have there MSN and be licensed as an RN in the state they are testing people in. So the idea of flying nursing across the county to test people while possible is would seems not really practical.

I took my CPNE in Racine WI in Jan. of this year. My personal exeperience was that this place was fair and reasonable. I personally overheard the instructors talking about their hotel room and what time they had to catch their flight on Sunday night. At least one of them said she flys in 2-3 weekends/month to the site.

I'm happy that Amarillo now has a test site since it's close to me. Any info on that test site would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I am using the College network and excelsior to get my ADN. I have completed NC1 and I'm beginning Micro so I can tackle it and get it over with. I'm really nervous about th exam. By the way, does anyone know how the cpne tests in Texas are....any site better than others? After micro i'm ready to do the rest of the nc courses. Any advise is welcome. I believe I will really be leaning on this site for support!! Thanks for all of yalls help, I look forward to hearing from you. Feel free to contact me at any time.

I took mine in Amarillo Feb 2005. I was among the 2nd group. I also took a friend in Nov 2005 and both of them passed. I really had a good experience there and loved it. and so did my friends.

Hey..u guys ,just got accepted to excelsior june 06...hope to finish all the NC by December 06...u think its possible....all my pre-requistes are done!

rntx34..I agree with you...I went to WIS. (and passed) after watching three of my co workers fail at Plano...They (all three) went to Columbus, Racine and Madison, all passed. I just chose Racine from the get go...It was an awesome site. Maybe it was because I was so FAR from home, helped me focus. All CPNE graduates should and could write a book about their experiences. CRAZY and stressful weekend!!! FYI...three of the CE's were wearing Univ of Wis Faculty labcoats, so sometimes they ARE from other programs. But I saw no grudges held, just profressionalism. I do know people who went to Plano and passed. Just Know your stuff! Talk the talk and Walk the walk. It is doable Destinee. There is a lot of discussion and desention about using private companies such as College Network, Chancellors, etc....just do what is right for YOU! The more prep you use the better off you are. Heck, I amassed a ton of study stuff from competitors and publishers, students, etc. We all need to help each other. There is help on yahoo study groups, etc. Good luck and study hard...like EC says..."What you know is more important than where you learned it".
