I didn’t see a thread for the Texas Christian University class beginning in 2022. Good luck everyone.
@TrailRN @HornedFrogSRNA2022 I’m sure y’all did so much better than you feel!! No matter how many mock interviews and actual interviews I do, I never walk away feeling “good” about it. Hold onto hope!! T-minus 4-7 days ?
Interviews completed! Did not go like I thought it would. Very few of the questions I expected, which, I kind of expected if that makes sense? Definitely had more clinical scenario and pathophysiology/MOA than I was expecting. A few of the non-clinical questions were just as unexpected and equally challenging. None of the why CRNA, what have you done to prepare type questions. Everyone told me it was just a “get to know you” situation, and I did feel that somewhat but they def grilled me more than I anticipated. It felt somewhat rushed, like the panel was ready to get it over with. I know they are busy and have a ton of people to interview so I’m not sure if that’s a good sign or a bad sign. I didn’t want to ramble on but at the same time I felt like I wanted more time. Maybe I’m the one who rushed? It was hard to tell. I really liked the faculty I interviewed with, they were all very nice but it was hard to get a read on anyone. Quite frankly I’m not sure how I did! It definitely could have gone better, but also could have gone way worse. I feel like for the most part they seemed happy with my answers. Now to stress for the next week!

Same here, very fast interviews. I had no patho/MOA questions (maybe it’s based on your years of exp?) but I also steered away from those by answering behaviorally. I definitely stumbled on one panel but tried to link it back to relevance.
I answered with weird responses and changed the ones I had reheorificed, sounded rushed, and sounded like I was very inexperienced and stupid. When I reheorificed I was too flat/ spoke too slowly so I tried to make sure I spoke more quickly and smiled a lot more… which made me look like a child. No way I’m getting in. Good luck to you all!!
