I didn’t see a thread for the Texas Christian University class beginning in 2022. Good luck everyone.

I did great on my CCRN so I don’t know if that score correlates with getting clinical questions. I was asked about the typical pt I take care of and drips. I talked about the last year and a half it’s been mostly Covid pts with ARDS. They asked the causes of ARDS and depending on gas results, what changes would I make to the vent. They also asked about proning and how that is effective.

I wonder if some of it has to do with what specialty you work in. Also, if the breakdown of our CCRN score shows any weakness? I didn’t have any clinical questions, but I’m from out of state so they wanted to know more so of why I would want to come out there. This is the first place I’ve interviewed where they have all been so different! I guess we all just have to wait anxiously at this point!!

I’m surprised they asked you that in depth when you have 2 years exp! What was your CCRN score? I felt mine was high too but I didn’t get any patho questions, though I prepared for ARDS because Covid. Did you bring up the drips/disease yourself first?

Dang that’s intense! I would not be sure how to answer that question either seeing as we didn’t know our results from the test.
My CCRN/scores/experience are good so that might align with them not asking me specific clinical questions. The only question they asked was if I had looked up any medications recently at work.

Yea. I brought it up when they asked the typical pt I took care of and drips I titrate. I got 110.
QuoteHey all! I also interviewed on august 3rd and I got very few clinical questions. I felt it went okay. They said by the end of the following week we should hear but I am hoping we hear sooner. Good luck everyone!
I’m starting to think maybe we had different panels on different parts of the week?
Mine was on Aug3 as well, and I had no patho questions.
For everyone who got clinical/science questions, when were your interviews done??

TrailRN, same. I think I answered two different questions with the same answer ?♀️ Which clinical sites did you all request?
