I emailed yesterday morning about whether or not they were going to have the open hhouse since the flooding is crazy and she said that as of now it's still on but they won't know till closer to the event. I'm a little worried because it's a 3 hour drive for me because I'm in Corpus at the moment so I'd hate to leave and drive all that way for nothing

Suivezmoi89, I'm in a similar situation. I drove 3 hours to get to Houston on Sunday night because I had another appointment on Monday. I couldn't get out of the house I am staying in yesterday but the water was receding last night when I went to bed. I was shocked this morning to see that the water has risen significantly last night and the neighborhood I am in is actually worse today than yesterday! It is awful! some of the neighbors already have water in their homes. Even if the event is still on, I can't get out of the neighborhood.

Were there a lot of people there? I am from out of state and was not able to make it due to exams. What days are the interviews and what floors are hiring? I am anxious to schedule a time so that I can make travel arrangements!

I think being there at the open house gives us first pick on interviews. It seemed as though she would be sending things out shortly to everyone to confirm appointments and have you guys select what units you are interested in and select interviews if you weren't there.

Most of the units I talked to said they had no idea how many people they would be hiring (which might be what they were told to say), but I heard that the class would be about 50 new graduates. There seemed to be a ton of people around the PICU/CVICU/NICU stations and I know that CVICU told us they had 3-4 spots open. So it's a bit nerve racking!! I think that we pick ONE unit we want and that's all we can interview with.
