Texas Children's Hospital Nurse Residency Fall 2021

Hi Everyone, 

I am starting this thread for everyone to share information regarding the upcoming Texas Children's Hospital Graduate Nurse Residency cohort starting this Fall 2021. This is indicated for students who will be graduating/applying this Summer 2021. 

Has anybody heard when the application cycle will open? I sent an email to recruitment a few weeks ago but have not heard back. 

All information/advice is much appreciated!

Just curious... what departments are y'all interested in/applying for when the application open? ? 

ill be applying for heme/onc and PICU if they have those available!! what about u?

Someone on the Houston Nurses facebook page said the application is opening at 5 pm today!

I applied yesterday! I'm so excited. Did anyone notice that they don't have a preferred GPA anymore ? It was a 3.5 before

Thanks so much! I noticed there wasn't an area to choose what units we prefer, I guess they will ask us when we get a call back?

Cuz sometimes they block off parts of these posts. While it is open there should be blue boxes at the bottom where you can click to apply. Internal if you work there already or external if you don't work there. Hope that helps.

I applied and interviewed for PICU in Spring and I'm applying again. They usually call after 2-3 weeks following application submission to discuss positions you want, GPA, etc!
