Texas Children's GN Residency 2015

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hi everyone!

I recently applied for the 2015 GN residency at Texas Children's and was wondering if anyone has heard anything back about interviews/job offers?

Hi! I got a call yesterday from TCH (nurse recruiter/HR) to set up a time/date for interviews with the nurse managers in the CVICU and PICU. I'm equally excited and nervous! I was told that they will be calling over the next 2-ish weeks as they determine how many positions will be available in each unit. Good luck! Has anyone else heard anything?

I received an email invitation last week to interview with the NICU!!! I'll be going this Wednesday, super nervous and excited! :)

How exciting! Congratulations to both of you!!!

Has anyone heard anything about interviews with acute care?

Yes. I also interviewed with acute care and nicu today. They're conducting the acute care interviews now through friday. You might call HR and ask the status of your application?

I have an interview with acute care tomorrow! So you got an interview with four different units?

How was the interview with acute care? I'm super nervous!

I am really happy for everyone and especially you too NewGrad2015. I interviewed with CVICU last week.

I ended up having 3. My CVICU interview was canceled (apparently they selected all their GNs by the end of the Tuesday interviews). Disappointing, yes, but I am still excited and hopeful for any of the nicu, picu, or acute care positions.

(To GN2015 about the acute care interview): It was not bad. The interviewers were very friendly and fun to talk with. The questions were, as we all expect, behavioral based. Get there early if you are not familiar with TCH and the medical center. Good luck! You'll do great!

Has anyone heard anything back about a job offer? I am still waiting....I was offered a job in L&D at Memorial Hermann Southwest but I REALLY want NICU :( I wish they would get back to me!
