Hi Everyone, I wanted to post and see if any of you are grads or hopefuls of the Texas A&M program at college station, the Health Science Center? I am currently a student at LoneStar college and I've been looking into the associates program to transfer over to the the bachelors, but after doing the figures I can do the prereqs and the bachelors program in the same amount of time. So I wanted to know if anyone has any information or reviews about the health center branch of A&M in College Station? I wasn't even aware that they had a program for nursing other than the one in Prairie View. I am also interested in UT, but I think A&M is actually going to be a closer commute. Any advice out there on getting in? So far I have a 4.0 gpa, but I have about another 3 semesters of prereqs to get done, so I'm hoping to keep my gpa in the same ballpark. Thanks so much for your time.

Thanks Brandig07 for the information, I didn't know that!
As far as the admission process, that's very different, I wonder why they choose to do it like that. I figured that the student data sheets were for those accepted or waitlisted. Does anyone know of anyone who didn't get one? I wonder if the second group of people that are waitlisted or accepted will have different deadlines since they get their information at a later date?
Hey MrsAggie:I contacted Texas A&M CC about that E-line program and it is very similar to UTA's except the clinicals are at the Med here in town! So that is something to think about since you're local. If I don't get in here at the HSC, I think I will apply to that too.
Brandig07-
You say that the clinicals are done here at the Med. Are you talking about the Med in College Station? If so, that would be perfect for me as I live here in C.S.

OKAY.... so just called CON AGAIN because AGAIN my letter did not arrive. The lady I spoke with told me that not all the letters have gone out, that it is a process and they are still processing the letters. Some have gone out, others haven't. She said it might be the second week of NOVEMBER before I hear anything, and at that point, I can worry about not getting anything in the mail. So, I guess - don't flip out totally. Its still ongoing!

Hey Amy:
According to the E-line adviser, the Med here in CS is a partner hospital for clinicals. They cannot alway guarantee where you will get, but she said she had not seen anyone have a problem. CC has an amazing program and it is almost identical to the UTA program, except you have a year to finish ONE course, but you can do it faster!
I live in South CS too, like 3 minutes away from the Med so it would be a good back up choice for me too!

I don't live that far from the Med either. I live south of there, off of Fitz Pkwy/Greens Prarie Road. I will have to look into the program. I know that El Centro used to have an online program but they now require that you do the clinicals in CC. I will definitely check into the TAMUCC program!
Thanks for all of the info!

Hey Everyone,
I recieved my waitlist letter as well about Saturday of last week...I just don't understand. I have a 3.6 Science GPA, 3.4 Overall GPA and 88% on my Hesi. I have been accepted to the 2yr program at TWU right in Houston which I heard from other students that it is a wonderful program. I recieved my bachelors of arts degree in Biology with a Chemistry and Spanish Minor. Does anyone seem to be in my same boat?

Thats what I figured. I knew the reports had to go to them. The blue card, I think, was just for us to know what our record was!
