Hi mckgarnett, Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, on top of schooling I am remodeling a home and moving into it. Schooling is going okay, not as great as I would like but so far grades are good. Things in the program are still very disorganized and I find that a daily disturbance but I do like the flexibility that the eline program offers. The nursing school in CC does probably accept 200 or more nursing students but that is mainly into their generic nursing program that is offered on campus. The actual online eline program only has about 10 students per semester being accepted. You see, the students that actually go to class on campus have a teacher per each class. Eline is completely online and so several teachers just take turns grading your assignments for some of the modules. I am finding it difficult to know exactly who my teacher is for each module. With that being said, there aren't extra teachers just for the online students so it takes things a while to get graded and I think this is way they only allow a select few to enter the online program. I hope this makes sense if not please let me know and I will try to clarify it better. If you have any others questions just let me know! And good luck with applying!

Totally agree with your post Brandig07! Don't give up! My GPA was not the best which it made things a little more difficult but not impossible. I think A&M HSC is very strict on GPA. That is the main thing they look at and when I applied the lowest they accepted was a 3.5. Try Texas A&M Corpus Christi eLine program. I got in without any issues and it has been nice to have the online flexibility thus far. Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions!

Hi, Yes they do have them in Houston. I am not too familiar with Houston so I don't remember the names of the hospitals that they have contracts with. I know it was a little more difficult to get into the clinicals in Houston because there are already so many students there but they did have contracts with some places. I know one of the hospitals there allowed students to come as long as you weren't or haven't been employed there before. For an exact list of places email Rita Rushing at [email protected]. I am sure you will be able to do it! It may just be a crazy 15 months lol. I have a very good friend who started the UTHSC program in January. She loves it but says it is crazy. She is finding it difficult to do clinicals (12hr shifts) and still find time to study. The eline program is self paced so you have up to 4 years to complete it but it can be done in 15 months. It is the same amount of material as all BSN programs. They actually don't have a contract with the Med anymore. So I think the closest clinical is La Grange. They will help you set up clinicals with a hospital if you find one that is close to you. I plan on doing mine in the Dallas area, I think I will be in that area by the time I start clinicals.

Hi Brandig07, I see you got into Houston! Congrats, that is wonderful! I just wanted to tell you thank you for bringing eLine program to my attention last year. I have been accepted and start in May. Here is some more information for anyone who is interested in the eline program. This forum doesn't always notify me when someone responds or asks questions. If you ever post something and I don't answer, please email me at [email protected] My interview for the eline program went great on March 23rd! I found out last Monday that I was accepted to the program!! Here is the run-down on the interview and admission stuff. This round, 30+ people applied to the eline program and 9-10 were accepted. Ten is the maximum number of people that the program accepts each semester (summer, fall, & spring). There were only 10 people at my interview so I assume they mainly interview their selected candidates to make sure they like you in person. The interview was kinda like an orientation, we were taught about financial aid and school resources. We also got a chance to ask faculty and current eline students many questions. This was all done in the morning. Right before lunch we went to the computer lab and they had us do a writing exercise with a nursing prompt. They gave us like 45min to type it and then they printed it out and gave it to the people who would interview us. After lunch, which they served to us, we were interviewed individually by a group of people (faculty, staff & students). The questions were fairly simple, just get to know you questions. With a few dilemma situation questions. I recommend asking questions at the end. They made their admission decisions that Wednesday evening and had letters out by Friday (which I got on Monday). School starts on May 31st and registration started on April 4th. With my acceptance packet was a check list of things that you must have before class starts. Such as $100 deposit, CPR by American Heart Association, current immunization record, transcripts, and criminal background check. I learned somethings at the interview. The quickest that the program has ever been completed is 18 months (that is school work and clinicals). If you want to complete it this quickly, they recommend you have don't work. Pharmacology is now a prereq and so you do not have to complete this again during the program, which shaves of some time. Clinicals are the tricky part depending on where you are located. Please let me know if you have anymore questions. I will try to keep you updated throughout the program. I want to complete it ASAP! My goal is 15-18 months, so we will see if it is do-able. Hi everyone, I was interviewed on Wednesday March 23rd 2011 for the eLine program for Summer 2011. I received my acceptance packet in the mail on the following monday. Classes start for us on May 31st. If anyone has any questions about the eLine program please let me know and I will try to answer them the best I can!

Congrats that's great!! Did they interview you or did you just get something in the mail? I was surprised that they wanted to do an interview since the online section is so small. What made you decide to do the generic vs eline? Have you heard anything good or bad about the eline program?

Also, I was just wondering how long it took you to complete the entire program from start to finish? And what hospital did you do your clinicals at? Hi, I applied to TAMUCC E-Line for summer 2011 acceptance. I am not sure if you were talking about the online program or not. I have an interview on March 23rd. I know they only accept about 10 people for the online program and more than 30 applied. I don't know much about the traditional program. My gpa was 3.2 and my hesi average was a 88 with 90s in the science sections. Anyone else apply to the Eline program?

Has anyone else heard anything new lately? The waitlist deadline on my bamf changed to Nov. 11th. Does anyone know someone who was just offered a spot on the waitlist or accepted?

Congrats for getting into UT, that is great! I can't believe they gave everyone a student data sheet, that doesn't make much sense. Anyone else hear anything today?
