TAMUCC Spring 2012
If you will be an in classroom student and not e-line it's 5 semesters and you cannot take less or more because you have to follow the degree plan and they will give you the classes you need to take. Unless you talk to the assistant dean Dr. Forgione that you want to slow down (because you failed a class and you are going to be out of sequence). I know online is different, in the in class you have scheduled clinical on different rotations. Your first semester you only have fundamentals for clinicals but for second semester onwards it's by rotation because you usually have 2 clinical classes.

Help, got accepted for summer but worried about financial aid.
Thanks gumby1411! I rejected it because I went half-time only and the subsidized loan was already enough to cover my school expenses plus I am afraid of having too BIG student loan so I only want to borrow what i need. I really appreciate your response, now i can rest my mind. :)

Help, got accepted for summer but worried about financial aid.
Hi! I got accepted in the nursing program this summer at TAMU-CC but worried I might not have enough money for the tuition. I do have student loan (Subsidized Stafford loan) and I usually receive it during Spring and Fall. For the Spring 2011 i had an offer for unsubsidized loan too but rejected it and I just did my FAFSA for 2011-2012. The financial aid at the university cannot tell me information if I will be able to get a loan for the summer, she said I have to wait when they start granting. My question is do they disburse federal student loan both subsidized and unsubsidized during summer. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Anybody applied at TAMU-CC for summer acceptance?
I'm just wondering if anybody else applied for summer and what is your gpa and hesi score. I worried coz my gpa is only 3.1 and my hesi is 82.19%. I asked the receptionist and she said that it's pretty competitive to get into the program. Anybody who got accepted for the spring 2011?Any info you can share will be very much appreciated.

Questions Regarding the HESI
I took the Hesi A2 twice for 2 different schools here in Texas. Like you I had to answer all parts of Hesi. Math was easy just simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, rate, percentage, base, ration and proportion and some problem solving, conversion of cups, pint, quarter, gallon. You can use a simple calculator. On Chemistry, conversions (metric system) like mL to L, symbols or elements, know the atomic number, atomic mass for, acid/basic, ph. In Biology study the cell (parts and functions), study also the types of transfer like active transport, mitosis, meiosis, facilitated diffusion. On A&P Study the parts of the heart (ventricles, atrium, valves), arteries, veins, parts of long bone, parts of the nervous system. Just study the one from the reviewer, they are very helpful. On the vocabulary study medical terms on the Critical thinking most questions are about triage and first aid. The first time I took it I got 75.55%, I have not taken A&P II and was still taking Microbiology that time. The second time I got 82.19% after I finish taking my pre-reqs and got 860 on critical thinking. I hope these information help you. Good Luck on your test.
