I have been taking practice test since I graduated in May. I can't look at another question. I am super nervous and doin't think I will ever truly be ready. But I have decided that it is what it is. If it is meant for me to pass, I will and if not, life goes on. It's not the end of the world even though it will probabbly feel like it. Any tips anyone has would be greatly appreciated......

At this point, relax and practice your relaxation techniques. Good luck.

I was in your exact same shoe. I did my test on Thursday and passed with 75 questions. I started practicing in May as well, but I kept answering questions right up to the night before my exam. You will be fine, just relax and read the questions through carefully. Before you start the test, take a few minutes to write out on the board they will give you, all the stuff you know you might forget like lab values, putting on and taking off PPE, insulin values, VS etc., so they do not slip your mind when you get caught up with the test. Honestly, the questions were very straight forward but if you are anxious and let the questions get to you, you won't be able to think clearly. Hang in there, and good luck.

Make Monday your last day to study and spend Tuesday and Wednesday relaxing and find distractions. You will just freak yourself out if you study up to the last minute. Get a good nights rest (if possible) the night before. During test take deep breaths and make sure you are calm before you start. Take your time. Thats the best advice I can give. I am sure you are going to be fine! Good Luck!!!:D

i totally agree! if you feel like you've reached a point where u just cant look at another question anymore then you know you are pretty much ready (or else you'd be freaking out and taking more tests to prove to urself that you are ready). DONT study on the day of the test.......... u will really freak yourself out before the exam and that might hurt your testing abilities :) it sounds to me like you're pretty much ready! maybe the most you should do now is trying to memorize the most important material like lab values... good luck!!

Remember your ABCs, and remember to breathe while you're in there. Slow down, read the questions and make sure you understand what they're asking before you pick an answer.

Relax for at least the whole of the day before, and remember: you've done the work. You are ready. You can do this too.

aww Good Luck . You will do just fine. Just spend the next two days relaxing. I remember when I took the NCLEX in 1988. All I did was questions, questions, questions. You will do great. I also took a review class when I first graduated for 2 weeks. This teacher was great. I always remembered what he said to me. On the NCLEX you are the perfect nurse so if it takes 2 hours to feed a patient that is what you will do on the NCLEX. I hope that info helps with some questions on Thursday. I passed my NCLEX on the first try, so will you. God bless always.

:)

hi there! all of the posters have given great advice! just remember to take deep breaths and close your eyes and focus. have a clear mindset otherwise being jittery may lead you to pick the wrong answer and overlook the right answer. you should relax and just watch movies or go shopping or bowling or something to get your mind off the stress of taking the exam. best of luck on thursday and keep us posted on how you do. :)

good luck to you.

chill out...locate the test center...and remember the mnemonic for isolation stuff. my chicken hez tb---spidermann--mrs. wee. look it up on here if you dont know it yet. i had lots of contact precaution questions, so that probably is what made me pass the test! you will do fine if you have studied that much. oh and take off the day before the test...get a massage, see a movie...do whatever you do to relax. good luck!
