Hi yall! Just looking for a little reassurance here. When I graduated school they told us that we need to hit the magic 5000 NCLEX questions in order to pass. So I've been plugging away. I first completed the Kaplan Q Bank (1600 or so questions) and have ranged in score from 52% to my highest of 73% The majority of my grades ranged between mid-high 50's- low 60's %. I still have to take the question trainers (I took the first three, but they got wiped clean). I found the Kaplan questions very difficult and some of the questions seemed completely bizarre and with some content I was unfamiliar with. After finishing the Kaplan Q Bank I started U World. I feel much more confident with the UWorld material. My lowest 75 question test was a 53% and highest was also a 73%. In general my scores are typically in the 64-68% range. Having taken 13 75 question tests and 1 30 (my first test trying out the program) I have hit the 91st rank where as the average rank given is 48. Should I take this as a reassuring sign? I have a bit more than 800 UWorld questions left to use. I would like to finish those, do UWorld's two assessments, and then if I have time go back through and do Kaplan's Question Trainers. Does it sound like I have a pretty good chance of passing? I have remediated every question (even the correct ones) and feel 75% confident and 25% terrified.
Thanks!

You are far more prepared than I was and I passed at 75 questions in an hr. You have 2 weeks to go, so you can ease off the accelerator a bit. My advice is to take the day before the test off and do something fun to get your mind off the test. Get some good sleep the night before the test (8-10 hrs). Eat a good nutritious meal several hours before the test (gives your body time to utilize the nutrition). Don't drink too much before the test, otherwise you will need to take bathroom breaks. Go into the test with the attitude that YOU WILL PASS, the question is how many questions will it take. Take your time to read each question to make sure that you understand what it is asking for. Don't finish 75 questions too quickly (

I have to agree with Guy in Babyland. I think you are overly prepared for the exam. I studied for 2 weeks and only used Kaplan though I felt like that the decision tree is useless on my exam, I didn't even use it. All I did is focus on the question and read every single selection of answers. I'm not trying to scare you it is hard but what you need is FOCUS and pick what you know. You are far ready than I was honestly and you'll do great. Let go of the anxiety, PRAY now when I say believe you really have to think that God is with you. Prepare that you're going in for 265 questions. If it makes you feel better I ran out of time because I was too focus on question and yes I ran out of time at 256! and I came out of the testing center feeling like I failed. Everyone will feel this way. Again while waiting for your result. You can't eat but this time do something chores, go to a salon or whatever. I cried for 2 days and started looking for other studying materials but deep inside me I asked God for miracle, I really did gave my best prayed really hard and I got my miracle in 2 days. Good luck!
Thank you for the advice! I don't think you ever feel truly prepared honestly. There is just so much content packed into one exam its crazy. I have the day off before the exam (July 4th) so I'll just try and take it easy. I'm just hoping I don't get in there and choke. It's never happened before and I usually do well in testing environments, but there's always a first time for everything I suppose. I think I need to go in and write a positive message to myself or something.

I felt that I wasn't prepared when I walked into the testing center. I walked out thinking "That's it? This is what I have been stressing out for five weeks?" You are more than ready.
Thank you for the good vibes! I'll keep plugging away at my practice questions, but I'll try not to stress so much.
The AN World Record for fastest time passing NCLEX is 35 minutes held by BosBSNhopeful. The challenge has been set.

I couldn't even imagine. I had an ex who finished his NCLEX in 75 questions and he said he took about 35-40 minutes. I can be a fast test take too, but when it comes to NCLEX, my feeling is that it's not a race. I have plenty of time to make sure I read the entire question.

I took my time with the questions. I kept my hand off the mouse until I was ready to answer. I read the question, eliminated the obvious wrong answer, chose an answer, reread the question to make sure, put my hand on the mouse and clicked. It was sort of like the game show Who Wants To Be a Millionaire "Is that your final answer?"

Please read Saunders comprehensive book and it's Q&A book. Do practice test like mastery or Uworld, and priorizitation, deligation. assignment (La charity) .I passed on jun/10/2017. KAPLAN strategies can help you.
Just to update, I passed. I did the Pearson Vue trick and did get the good pop up and 48 hours later got my quick results.

Congrats!! Which did you feel helped better in preparing for the nclex? And which was similar to the nclex in terms of questions asked?
