Testing in less than 2 weeks Kaplan/UWorld, am I on track?

Published

Hi yall! Just looking for a little reassurance here. When I graduated school they told us that we need to hit the magic 5000 NCLEX questions in order to pass. So I've been plugging away. I first completed the Kaplan Q Bank (1600 or so questions) and have ranged in score from 52% to my highest of 73% The majority of my grades ranged between mid-high 50's- low 60's %. I still have to take the question trainers (I took the first three, but they got wiped clean). I found the Kaplan questions very difficult and some of the questions seemed completely bizarre and with some content I was unfamiliar with. After finishing the Kaplan Q Bank I started U World. I feel much more confident with the UWorld material. My lowest 75 question test was a 53% and highest was also a 73%. In general my scores are typically in the 64-68% range. Having taken 13 75 question tests and 1 30 (my first test trying out the program) I have hit the 91st rank where as the average rank given is 48. Should I take this as a reassuring sign? I have a bit more than 800 UWorld questions left to use. I would like to finish those, do UWorld's two assessments, and then if I have time go back through and do Kaplan's Question Trainers. Does it sound like I have a pretty good chance of passing? I have remediated every question (even the correct ones) and feel 75% confident and 25% terrified.

Thanks!

Congrats!! Which did you feel helped better in preparing for the nclex? And which was similar to the nclex in terms of questions asked?

I preferred UWorld for their rationales. Honestly Kaplan's rationales sucked. However, my actual NCLEX questions seemed more similar to Kaplan in that I got very random subjects. Mine felt like they were asking nothing about actually taking care of patients and were looking more to challenge my critical thinking. It was a bit bizarre and a little unnerving because I didn't think that I did well.
