Hello everyone,

I was accepted into the nursing program for my school. I will start on Ausgust 17, 2009. I recived my information packet in the mail. I read in my packet that I will have to take a $266.00 test called a "TEAS" teast. They wrote that this test does not effect my GPA or my status in the program.:uhoh3: So my question is besides someone making $266.00 on it why do I need to take it? :banghead: Your input would be welcome!

ours has started the pax now. perhaps because we're down about 30% of the students from where we started last fall??

what is the pax?

national league for nursing preadmission exam. we didn't have to go through it, but their making the new admits after this fall pass with a 60th percentile.

It can also be used to prove to the feds that a school is properly screening for students who will succeed, if the school is using a lot of federal grant money to run a program.

I agree that this may be for ATI stuff. We have to do that where I am enrolled. It takes up a whole lot of time that could be better spent , we don't get any credit for the tests, and the study guides are so vague that they are next to useless. They may pay of when we take the boards but until then I'm pretty skeptical.
