Temple College ADN/LVN 2014

I noticed that there has not been a 2014 topic started yet for the Temple College nursing programs. I am getting nervous and want to know if there is anyone out there applying for the same year I am. I will be applying for the ADN and LVN program. So far I have all my pre and co-requisites completed with a 3.76 GPA. I will be taking my hesi test this October, and I also live IN-district. I am nervous and losing sleep over whether or not my scores will be good enough!

And girl! Me too!! I want my letter now! hahahaha I just wanna know if its a yes or a no so I can get on with my life. I feel stuck right now waiting!

Congrats Maddy! I'm so happy for you ALL! I hope summer & I are as happy as you guys are in about 4 weeks when we get our letters. It's so nice to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing. I'm pretty sure I'm driving my family and coworkers crazy telling them how nervous I am everday. Lol.

Well i think yall will be fine..i cant wait for yall to get your letters..maddy and cocoa are leaving me alone at temple lol but jordan and summer will be fine. But dont be alarmed if im sitting in the back row in your class haha. :( so lonely haha

Congrats rowley now you can celebrate with us!!! This is so exciting!! And I know ang sorry for leaving you =( I was actually wondering if they let you do transfers bc I might move to temple since housing is so much cheaper.. while I'm in school. But yay I'm so happy for all of us!! And can't wait for orientation!! Now to find these immunization records!

Summer,

Did you work at a hospital? I briefly read about working with babies and was curious about job postings. Most of the lvns I know are working in nursing homes or home health

I did. I worked Kings Daughters Clinic, S&W Hospital and then home health. I was hired at S&W pediatric floor fresh outta school. Then I decided I wanted better hours, so I went pedi clinic. That worked out AWESOME for awhile, but as a clinic nurse, you don't make any money hardly. So I did pedi home health on weekends, and discovered I made ONE WEEKS worth of pay in 2 days doing home health, so I did that full time for about 2 years. In fact, my water broke while I was at work. Unfortunately, due to my hysterectomy, I had a really hard time working with babies anymore.. so I got on at the VA, then later met Jordan! :D I love the veterans! but, I miss babies now.

I did a clinical rotation at William R. Courtney! But never worked there. There are a few people here that work on the floor with me now that have though!

I loved my rotation there.
