Hey everyone! I thought it would be helpful to start a new thread for the Temecula Valley New Grad Job Fair that happened today. It didn't seem like there was much information they could give as far as the number of people they would hire, when it would start, or when/if they would be calling people. Anyone get info today that they'd like to share? Then we can all keep each other updated on here. Good luck to us all!
I forgot to add that the woman who interviewed me said that they would be making calls in the next 2 - 3 weeks. It sounds like info that was given out differed depending on who was doing the interviewing.
Jennyandpups, we were in line together! I got there at 11:30 and interviewed a little after 2.
Hi All,
I'm graduating from CSU San Marcos in May with my BSN. About 8 of my classmates attended and one of them said that a lot of the people at the job fair have their associates degree, not their bachelors. I got a score of 12. No one I know got higher than 12. After the interview, they told me that my application would then be submitted to HR and I should be expecting a call within the next 2 weeks.
Also, I do know that Southwest partners with CSU San Marcos, MSJC and Cal Baptist because their students do clinicals there, that is most likely why they want to hire those candidates.
I was also told they would be calling in about 2 weeks and were hiring 40. I think I scored 10 on the sheet but I also heard of people getting 12 but didn't hear anything above that. I arrived at around 1230 and got an interview with the CEO, she was very friendly. She asked me what school I attended, which is West Coast University, and she said that was the school she has done more interviews for, but I'm not sure it was one of the ones they asked about when they stopped interviews.
Good luck to you all!

Hi! I arrived around 11:15 and waited for quite a while. I interviewed around 2pm. At that time the interviewer told me they had 911 applicants for 40 spots. He only mentioned Temecula Valley and Southwest. He asked if I was interested in Med Surg, ICU, and/or ED. Also, a friend of mine who was there earlier said they weren't interviewing out of county residents but when I got there they had 2 separate lines - one for SD/Riverside and one for other counties. I can't imagine they thought they'd get that kind of turnout and didn't know how to accomodate everyone. He didn't mention when they would make calls or what the program entailed. He seemed pretty wiped out from so many interviews. I certainly would be. Hope that helps!
