work at home positions

Specialties Triage

Published

I have been a nurse for 8 years and am interested in a work at home position doing triage or disease management. I did telephone triage in an outpatient clinic several years ago, so I do have this experience. I am tired of my commute and would like to save on time and gas money! I have applied to jobs with Humana, McKesson, and Unitedhealth Group. I was just wondering if anyone works at home for any of these companies and how you got into it. So far I have not heard anything back on my applications. These companies are so large it's difficult to talk to anyone in HR. I applied with Humana over a month ago and meet all the minimum requirements, so I have been hoping for an interview. It seems these jobs may be competitive though. Any advice would be appreciated!

Where did you apply at... Humana has been doing interviews for this type positions...

I applied with Humana over a month ago. I can log in and check my application status but it has not changed since I first applied. I think probably alot of nurses have applied with them. I have also applied with McKesson, Unitedhealth Group, and a company called Carenet. Haven't heard anything from McKesson either but am still being considered for work at home positions with Unitedhealth group and Carenet. I'm hoping I can interview for one of these jobs. Have you ever heard of Carenet? I think they are a smaller company based out of San Antonio but from what I have read they are growing. If you have any other helpful advice let me know. Thanks!

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

i want to bump this up because im interested in learning more....:o
