Telemed Travel Company

I'm interested in talemed. They are the number one rated company but I haven't found any info on this site if someone out there is using or has used this company...any advice or insight on them. I will use you as a reference if I take an assignment!

I am currently doing my second assignment with TaleMed. My first was this last summer in MT. Then I went to NC and they couldn't find an assignment for me so I went with another agency. I was at my job for less than a week and my son-in-law was killed in Iraq. I have been with my daughter. When I told the agency I was with I needed Christmas off to be with my daughter because this will be my granddaughter's first Christmas, the hospital cancelled my contract.

TaleMed called me a couple days after my son-in-law was killed. My recruiter was very upset. Ken called me Oct. 3 to find out how my daughter and I were doing. I told him I was looking for a job near Arlington. He told me he had a hospital, called them, called me to tell me they were going to call, I interviewed that day and he called me back the next day and I had the assignment. They are also giving me a two bedroom apt. in Laurel so my daughter and granddaughter can come and stay with me.

They are a small company but they were right there when I needed them. The agency I was with has not called me back or responded to my e-mails. This has been a very trying time and TaleMed has been very helpful to me.

I was having trouble with my travel company not being prompt in getting me an assignment. I called Ken Tracy at Talemed and he had an assignment for me in less than 2 days! Very nice.

hello, I'm a young Canadian travel nurse working right now in California. My roommate, fellow nurse, are in the process of researching travel companies for the new year.

I have read many post that insist Talemed is a good company. I know it makes a huge difference if you have a nice recruiter working on your behalf. Is anyone able to give me a recruiter's name with this company that you have had good experiences with??

I've been talking to someone from Talemed this week. This is my first time trying this out and so far I'm impressed. My recruiter gave me his cell phone number in case I need to call him after work hours. I thought that was pretty awesome.

I'm trying to go to Ohio and it's not a compact state so there's a lot of paperwork. He didn't promise me anything but said that he'll do his best to get me where I want to be. Personally I like his honesty. I'd feel put off if they promise me the world and then don't deliver. I like knowing that I can pretty much trust that he's telling me the truth.
