Nurse Practitioners in Canada
Hello All, I'm trying to research the Nurse Practitioner programs in Canada. Are there any NPs out there that can give me their opinions on the best programs in the country? I'm looking for a pediatric care focus. Would like to do pediatric critical care. I know adult critical care streams and neonatal streams are more popular. Also what is the main difference between CNS and NPs? Thanks everyone for any advice, info you can give me.

New to the PICU world...so many ?'s!!!
I am also new to the world of kidos! I have been nursing for almost 3 yrs most of it in adult cardiac. I have recently started in a PICU and so far am seeing so much varity. I am loving working with older kids and the babies but am overwhelmed with questions! I was wondering if any other PICU nurse out there uses a good pocket guide with formulas and quick reference info that you could reccomend? I would like one to keep on me while I'm at work. Also I was wondering if other nurses who have recently made the change from the adult world of nursing to peds are feeling like a new grad all over again, because I am?! Can wait for all the great things I'm gonna learn in the future....

Telemed Travel Company
hello, I'm a young Canadian travel nurse working right now in California. My roommate, fellow nurse, are in the process of researching travel companies for the new year. I have read many post that insist Talemed is a good company. I know it makes a huge difference if you have a nice recruiter working on your behalf. Is anyone able to give me a recruiter's name with this company that you have had good experiences with?? Thanks a lot!

If you could live anywhere in Eastern Canada...
I am a young travel nurse who was born who was born and raised in NS. I LOVE LOVE Nova Scotia, being away and going back for vacation has made me have a whole new apperciation for its beautiful surroundings and people. I know it sounds corny but moving away from home makes you realize what your missing. You can take the girl out of the maritimes but not the maritimes out of the girl! I do plan eventually to move back to the east coast, we do get some hard winters but just as bad as the eastern states do. However our warm summer nights are the best! I would definately reccomend living in Halifax for a young family or somewhere a little bit outside of the city. Good luck with your decision!
